The algorithm output was dense, and the people reading it were lecturers and bio-scientists, not engineers. The interface had to make that output readable without slowing the visualisation down.

I turned the algorithm output into readable UI components and worked on the rendering path to cut visualisation latency. Requirements came from sitting with the researchers using the platform and collecting their feedback directly, then translating it into interface decisions.
